Dear High End Friends,
At Axpona this year, you are more than welcome to take a look – and listen - to our brand new speakers with TPCD membrane technology! And it is safe to say that they give a magical acoustic experience. Heres’ what our Managing Director expresses his first experience with them:
“I was completely flabbergasted when I finally listened to a system with the new TPCD drivers SEAS are showing at Axpona. The way the resonances in the cone are controlled, give a level of detail in the sound stage that I have never heard before. Look forward to talk more about this technology at Axpona”.
One of the most significant audible benefits of TPCD diaphragms is the improved clarity and detail in the sound it produces, resulting in a more lifelike and realistic listening experience.
Because TPCD is a very stiff and lightweight material, it can precisely reproduce the nuances and subtleties of the audio signal. This results in a clearer and more detailed sound, with improved imaging and separation between different instruments in the recording.
TPCD diaphragms are constructed using multiple thin layers of carbon fiber that are stacked and bonded together to form a lightweight and stiff diaphragm. Each layer is engineered to cover the full cone or just some small areas, so that they combined give stiffness to the areas we want stiffness and softer with more damping where that is needed. This construction technique results in a material that is much stiffer than traditional diaphragm materials like paper or plastic, while still maintaining a low mass and good internal damping.
We are located at Madisound’s room at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel and Convention Center in Schaumburg, IL.
