WE WILL SOLVE THE MYSTERY OF THE BREATHTAKING SOUND EXPERIENCE

H 1597-08 - FA22RCZ Print

H1597-08 – FA22RCZ

A HIGH PERFORMANCE LOUDSPEAKER FEATURING THE SEAS PRESTIGE FULLRANGE DRIVER – DESIGNED AT THE SEAS R&D LABORATORY

Many of you noticed that we showed this new driver on the RMAF in Denver in October. The idea behind the design, is to make a high quality fullrange driver that is more cost effective and available than the Exotic F8 . One of the things we did, was to base the magnet system on ferrite in stead of Alnico, which are very expensive magnet systems.

The cone is made from a paper pulp recipe from the “good old days”. This way, we maintained the vintage feeling these kinds of drivers represent, while we also use the most modern technology available today.

FA22RCZ is a highly efficient full range driver capable of providing an astonishingly precise and coherent sound reproduction at a very reasonable cost.

Driven by low to medium power, high quality amplifiers and good signal sources, it is capable of competing favorably with high cost, esoteric drivers.

New R&D Engineer Print

SEAS proudly announces our new R&D engineer, Mr. Diego Ivars from Alicante, Spain.

As of medio October, Diego is employed in our R&D Dept, contributing with high competence and creativity in a SEAS lab that is constantly developing.
We challenged Diego to tell you, with his own words, who he is, and his way to his Masters thesis from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim:

I am Diego Ivars, and am really glad to be a part of the SEAS team from now on. This is the goal I have had, ever since I commenced my studies similar to a bachelor degree in telecommunications. I specialized in “Sound and Image”, and my professor Basilio Pueo encouraged me to keep studying within the field of electro acoustics.
I finished my Master Degree Thesis in NTNU, studying under professor Peter Svensson. The thesis focused on the study of directivity parameters of a loudspeaker, highlighting Directivity Index.
In addition, I developed techniques and programmed software to get an accurate result of the test loudspeaker DI.

In my spare time, I like playing handball, which I have done since I was 6 years old, and I also enjoy playing the drums and bass guitar. My interest for music also sparkled ideas for my own electronic HiFi projects.
I am very much looking forward to working with the rest of the crew here at SEAS, and to get to know and understand more sides of the complex  loudspeaker industry.

Autumn 2010 Print

The SEAS crew is back from an interesting and educational trip to beautiful Scotland.

Autumn is upon us, and here at SEAS we are now preparing for the next big event within the HiFi-world:

Rocky Mountain Audio Fest in October.

We will be launching two brand new drive units of which we are very proud, and very excited to show you all.

Curious? We won’t say more until the show opens.

We will solve the mystery of the breathtaking sound experience.

SEAS goes to Scotland Print

At SEAS, we have a constant focus on improving and developing our level of competence.

Therefore, we will today bring the whole SEAS crew on a seminar to Scotland, combining a customer visit with a useful
course which will contribute to make us an even better partner to all of our customers.

Travelling from our nearby airport, which is only a 5 minute drive from our premises, makes it convenient for us to plan and implement  events like this.

Due to the above, the factory will therefore be closed from 14:00 today, and will reopen on Monday  20 September.
We feel confident that you will meet an even more enthusiastic and dedicated work force after we return from this trip.

The expedition and delivery/shipping of goods will still take place, please call Sven on +47 9400 2826 for more information.

For other important messages, please call your SEAS contact direct on their mobile phones.

We will solve the mystery of the breathtaking sound experience.

New tweeter available Print

SEAS 22TFF MADE AVAILABLE IN PRESTIGE PROGRAM
Perfection in 0,5 kgs!

Since SEAS started almost 60 years ago, we always focused on bringing the latest of technologies, combined with experience and knowledge, to the market place.
With the latest addition to our tweeter program, we most certainly follow up on these values.
The 22TFF is a High Definition soft dome tweeter with a wide surround.

One-piece Sonomex dome and surround allows for very tight production tolerances and high consistency with a smooth and extended frequency response. The voice coil windings are immersed in magnetic fluid to increase the power handling capacity, and reduce compression at high power levels.  The chassis is moulded from a stiff and stable glass fiber reinforced polymer material, and its front design offers optimum radiation conditions.

Design Passive Radiator Print
Dear SEAS friend and customer –

The L26ROY subwoofer was designed using highly sophisticated FE modeling to secure perfect symmetry and virtually eliminate all instability. In these critical areas, the L26ROY outperforms all other subwoofers that we tested so far.
After extensive listening evaluations, however, we realized that even a perfect subwoofer cannot perform at its best without addressing the problems created by mounting a high output subwoofer driver in a small, vented enclosure. What was needed, was a perfectly matched passive radiator. An L26ROY mated to such a passive radiator would make it possible to use a compact cabinet volume of only 40 liters, while avoiding all the troubles associated with using a vented port. No more chuffing noise or unwanted resonances!
Introducing the new SL26R Passive Radiator from SEAS:
The SL26R is a perfect acoustic and cosmetic match to our L26ROY subwoofer. It uses the same basket and cone assembly, and is supplied with the exact moving mass necessary to perfectly load the L26ROY in a 40 liter enclosure.
The SL26R is:
•    A perfect acoustic and cosmetic match to the L26ROY subwoofer
•    Designed to achieve a 26Hz Helmholz resonance in a 40 liter enclosure using a single passive radiator
•    Tunable by adding or removing mass
•    Usable in pairs to achieve even higher acoustic output.
•    The best solution for eliminating port chuffing, resonances and mid frequency leakage
•    In applications where extreme SPL is needed, two SL26R passive radiatiors can be used with a single L26ROY. In this case, the addition of 200 grams extra mass to each passive radiator will achieve a tuning at 26Hz in a 40 liter cabinet.
•    For further technical details, please refer to the data sheet.
•    The SL26R is now available for all our distributors. Please contact your factory representative or me directly on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for further details

We are looking forward to hearing from you.
