With the latest addition to our tweeter program, we most certainly follow up on these values.
The 22TFF is a High Definition soft dome tweeter with a wide surround.

One-piece Sonomex dome and surround allows for very tight production tolerances and high consistency with a smooth and extended frequency response. The voice coil windings are immersed in magnetic fluid to increase the power handling capacity, and reduce compression at high power levels.  The chassis is moulded from a stiff and stable glass fiber reinforced polymer material, and its front design offers optimum radiation conditions.

At SEAS, we are delighted to be back at work after Easter, because, like we mentioned earlier, we have so many exiting news to bring forward this Spring.

Please keep stopping by - in just a few days, we will launch the long awaited passive radiator in the Design product group. The SL26R is designed to be utilised in a 40 litres box together with the L26ROY .  We will revert with a closer description and product design philosophy, but can already promise amazing results.

Please be informed that the SEAS factory will be closed for Easter holidays from Friday March 26 until Tuesday April 06.

We are already looking forward to return Tuesday 06 April, because this Spring we have planned a lot of exiting news for you.

We are especially proud of the new offering in our Design product group. Soon, we will launch a passive radiator which has been designed to match the L26ROY perfecty. We will also have a kit suggestion which is equipped with these excellent drivers.

We will also publish suggestions for kits which utilize the Exotic drivers, so there are really lots of things to look forward to over the next few months. We wish each and every one of you a happy easter.

New R&D Manager at SEAS

SEAS of Norway announces Håvard Sollien as new R&D Manager

Dear SEAS Customers and Associates

As of January 1st, I have assumed the position of Manager at the SEAS R&D laboratory, succeeding Mr Olav Arntzen who has advanced to the position as Managing Director of SEAS. I’ve been a part of the SEAS R&D team since August 2007, and have for the last year also been managing the R&D projects.

I have a Master in Acoustics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. My Master Thesis focused on a novel approach of measuring the small-signal parameters of loudspeakers. Other research interests is room-acoustics and perception of sound.

I look forward to all the new and exiting development projects and drivers and to continue our research in solving the mystery of the breathtaking sound experience.

We are back from our Christmas Holidays, which here in the Moss region has been very cold this year.

We are most pleased to present to you all our new Prestige Kit, Idunn , which utilises the new curv cone woofer U18RNX/P and DXT tweeter 27TBCD/GB-DXT.

Idunn is based on a standard 20 l vented cabinet, chosen to give people an easy start to build  their own loudspeaker.

Named after the Norse goddess of Youth, we believe this kit reflects  our goal well – and the goal is to create more interest around speaker kits and High End Sound by making DIY available, easy and cost effective.

U18RNX/P – A Dedication to The Art of Sound Perfection
 
We are proud to present our latest ground breaking bass driver, U18RNX/P.  An 18cm high-fidelity woofer/midrange unit. This is our second driver that uses the Curv cone, following the smaller U16RCY/P. The Curv cone is made from a self-reinforced woven polypropylene material, not to be confused with standard polypropylene. U18RNX/P also utilises the SEAS Spider Ring® technology, keeping the critical components aligned and consistent.

This woven polypropylene combines the great stiffness from a fibre reinforced cone with the high damping properties of the polypropylene. The self reinforcing construction of the material means that the cone can be kept lightweight, without losing stiffness or damping. Combining these properties we have achieved a bass unit which delivers outstanding deep and clean bass notes and the dynamics of a snare drum, while at the same time playing vocals from your favourite singer with the highest fidelity.

The extended range and smooth roll-off of the driver makes it easy to marry with any tweeter, using only a simple filter with a minimum of components. Ensuring that all the dynamics and fine details of the music reaches the musical nerve of the listener, one step closer to musical nirvana.
