SEAS At the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest
Dear SEAS customer,
It’s October, and for the 5th year in a row, SEAS takes this opportunity to launch new products.
This year you are most welcome to the Madisound room for an extraordinary sound experience.
We have further developed the coaxial principles, and are most proud to present to you what we call the “King Coax”.
It uses a magnesium cone and dome, which has never been done before. The neodymium magnet system optimizes air flow and minimizes back wave reflections.
To demonstrate the amazing properties of this drive unit, we have designed a kit we call “KingRO4Y”.
KingRO4Y is 3-way loudspeaker kit, using the new coax and our 26 cm aluminium cone subwoofer. The Hypex PSC2.400 DSP amplifier completes the masterpiece.
The result is a true fullrange speaker in a compact enclosure with outstanding performance.
You can find the data sheet for the coax here, and the application note to the kit here.
In addition to the above, Mr. Siegfried Linkwitz will be attending with his outstanding kit, the LX521 Monitor, which uses only SEAS drivers.
New Technical Sales Manager
New Technical Sales Manager at SEAS
SEAS of Norway announces Mr. Claus Futtrup as Technical Sales Manager.
As of September, Claus is employed as part of our sales team, with
focus on providing strong technical support to sales.
Claus is educated at Aalborg University in Denmark, with a Masters Degree
in Mechanical Engineering. His speciality is material science.
His thesis was about dynamic load material properties for a rubber
compound with cotton fibers (for a fan-belt in a car motor). He is
self-taught in the field of electro-acoustics, and has authored
several technical AES papers on the subject.
Claus has 16 years of experience, all of them within leading companies in
the high end loudspeaker industry.
He has designed loudspeaker systems and transducers for home
hifi as well as automotive and he is looking forward to providing you with
qualified technical feedback on anything related to loudspeaker design.
In spite of the strong technical foundation, he realizes that
designing good sounding loudspeakers is an artform.
Welcome to contact Claus on email:
We will solve the mystery of the breathtaking sound experience.
SEAS seminar 2013
Thursday 30 May will be a milestone in the SEAS history.
We arranged a really successful convention here in Moss. We had top experts lecturing, and a wide variety from the Norwegian sound reproduction environment exchanging experience, knowledge and opinions.
The demo we held in our meeting room astonished the attendees. We played quite “base-heavy” music on ceiling mounted speakers called Joy, and the response was massive. We knew at that point we are on our way “To Solve The Mystery Of The Breathtaking Sound Experience”.
We would like to give you all the opportunity to listen to these fantastic speakers, and enclose here the application note/kit suggestion, so you can build your own version of these.
It utilizes only the Excel Coaxial driver – C16N001/F.
Please note that SEAS will be closed for Summer holiday from 15 July to 05 August
SEAS seminar May 30th, 2013
As part of the commitment SEAS made in 2011 regarding development and sales of professional AV-speakers for Video Conferencing, meeting rooms and auditoriums, we proudly announce we will arrange a convention here in Moss on Thursday 30 May.
We have invited some of Norway’s top experts on sound in AV-installations to Moss. They will all hold lectures with emphasis on the importance of sound reproduction.
The approximately 50 signed participants will hopefully get both an educational and interesting day, with exchange of knowledge and increased network within their profession.
We will combine this with a 2 hour tour around SEAS, and a nice concert in the evening. It’s going to be a sound experience the participants will never forget!
This year’s event is fully booked, but maybe we’ll see you next year?

We have designed a new Excel T35 dome midrange/tweeter, and combined it with the A26RE4 uncoated paper cone
